This/That/These/Those

This/that/these/those* are determiners.
Determiners are words that come at the beginning of noun phrases, before adjective. Determiners help to show which or how many people/things we are talking about.

Students can use that and those to talk about people or things that are there (not near).

*Also called ‘demonstrative pronouns’
